first_imgCOMPLETE RESULTSPALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The UWF men’s golf team moved up a spot on the final day of the Shark Invitational, using the low round of the tournament to finish in fourth place Monday.The Argonauts shot a final round 285 – 3-under-par – for a 896 total. Three UWF players posted top 16 individual performances on the par 72 layout at the Champions Course at PGA National.Senior Christian Bosso led the squad in the third round, using an eagle on the par-5, sixth hole on his way to a 1-under-par 71 and a tie for sixth place overall at 3-over-par 219.Sophomore Carlos Marrero recorded the low round of the tournament for UWF, with a 3-under-par 69 on his way to a tie for 13th place at 75-81-69=225.Junior Harry Butler improved each round and ended in a tie for 16th place at 79-76-71=226.Freshman Adam Guedra continued his improvement from the first even of the year, cutting eight strokes off his 54-hole score. He tied for 22nd this week with a 77-77-74=228 total.Senior Jacob Huizinga tied for 56th at 80-79-79=238.Saint Leo won the event with an 886 total – 10 strokes ahead of UWF.UWF will return to action next week, Oct. 15-16, when they host to second annual Copperhead Championship at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.  Print Friendly Versionlast_img
